Main Foil Pin Box Upgrade

Newer boats are shipped with the gate system for adjusting the main foil.

Nick Burroughs has linked a photo album that shows how to switch from the pinboard to gates. You need to line up the center position in the pinboard with the center position in the lower teeth of the new gates system. The bolt holes are not in the same place for the two systems. You should additionally know that we've started gluing the lower teeth to the deck plate with Plexus when assembling the gates. You could do the same at home with thickened epoxy to secure the hardware better than through bolts alone.
